Pure Portrait
Pure portrait photography sessions consists of taking beautiful portraits such as the traditional family portrait, pregnancy and individual sitter sessions from a comfortable sitting age (ie; 8 months old) to a child, a tween or teenager.
I’m very aware that not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera. This is where my years of experience will help guide you through the many poses and setups throughout your session. I’m a firm believer that no one is ‘photogenic’. With good direction, great conversation, everyone is able feel confident and look naturally beautiful in their photos.
These sessions are aimed at those who cherish beautiful photography, high attention to detail image post production, and lastly, who would love archival printed photographs of themselves and their loved ones up on their walls.
Whether you choose to have a studio style session or a session in an outdoor location of your choice, the pricing below remains the same for both.

Investment
• My time, photographic expertise & artistry as your professional photographer.
• A pre-session consultation via phone or email to design your custom portrait session, wardrobe and styling ie; backdrops/theme/colour palette.
• Full use of children’s studio wardrobe.
• 1-2 hour portrait session, in a relaxed environment at my Highton home studio or *an environmental location for your choice.
• Viewing and ordering appointment either at my Highton home or via Zoom (please allow at least 1 hour).
*travel covers a 20km radius from Geelong. Additional travel fees will be added if further travel required.

What to Expect
BEFORE SESSION: Booking your Session & Pre Session Consultation
Once we have a date confirmed I will require the session fee of $350 to be paid as your deposit. This fee is non-refundable. In the case where we need to reschedule your session, your deposit will be fully transferable.
Before the day we will have a pre session consultation to discuss your thoughts on hair and makeup, different outfit selections and what style of portrait session you would like to create for you and your family. You are more than welcome to bring in a selection of outfits on the day, then we can go through what we think will work best. There is also a selection of children’s clothing ranging from ages 6 down to 6 months) available from my SMP Studio wardrobe for your child to use for their session, as well as some outfits for mum.
Prints, products and digital images are not included in this fee and are to be purchased separately at your ordering session. There is no minimum spend, you simply purchase what you absolutely love.
DURING SESSION: Session Details
Studio sessions are usually booked in the mornings from 10am and generally last anywhere from 45 minutes for sitter session or up to 3 hours when photographing families. Generational sessions may take longer depending on how many families and photography required.
Environmental Sessions are weather dependant and typically take place in the afternoon around 4pm. This timing may be flexible depending on the day and weather conditions.
My aim is to create images with a more natural feel and emotive looking expressions. I’m very intentional in the way I photograph my clients and I will carefully guide you and/or your child/children through a number of various poses from seated to standing/leaning. Environmental sessions are treated much the same as a studio session, but will be more images incorporating the surrounding landscape.
If you are wanting something truly special and unique for your walls, you will certainly be in good hands, I’m definitely the photographer for you.
AFTER SESSION: Viewing Ordering Appointment & Product Handover
I endeavour to have your lightly retouched proof gallery ready for selection as soon as possible.
I will ask you to come back to the studio to make your final selection of all the beautiful portraits you truly love and wish to purchase at this time. Please note, not all images taken on the day will appear in the proof gallery. Only the very best images taken from the day will be available for purchase. This is called your “Viewing and Ordering Appointment”. For this appointment, I will select a couple of images that I love and will have those completely retouched/post produced in my signature style. I do this in order for you to see what the end result will look like for the rest of your gallery. After you have made your final selection of images you wish to purchase, I will require 50% of the final payment at this point.
Once your final selection has been made, all retouching will be completed to a very high standard in my signature style. Once completed, I will have you review your final selection via a watermarked online gallery. Once these images have been accepted by you, final payment for the remainder of your invoice will be required. When final payment has been received, I will send through an email with a Dropbox link to download your high & low resolution purchased images. These images may then be uploaded to your social media and used for personal use only. Your print & product order will be sent through to the photographic lab and product ordering will be arranged with various suppliers. This final process may take up to 3 weeks, depending on how busy my suppliers are. You will receive updates via email through all these stages. I will email you once all your order has been completed to arrange delivery/handover.
